
William B. Kerr
William Kerr joined Insight Health Partners as an advisor to the firm and brings more than 35 years of executive healthcare experience in academic medical centers to Insight. His background includes significant service to:
- Association of American Medical Colleges
- Commonwealth Fund Task Force on Academic Health Centers
- The National Institutes of Health-Warren G. Magnuson Clinical Center
- Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
In addition, Mr. Kerr has provided counsel to numerous healthcare committees in the San Francisco and greater California region and was active in the California Association of Hospitals and Health Centers. He has worked in consulting for 15 years, directing many complex academic medical center engagements and serving as interim University Medical Center COO, responsible for implementation of the performance improvement plan.
Before moving into consulting, Mr. Kerr served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of UCSF Stanford Health Care, and as Director of UCSF Medical Center for 20 years. Prior to his work at UCSF Medical Center, he worked as Assistant to the Commissioner for the Department of Hospitals in New York City, and served with the United States Army Military Intelligence. Mr. Kerr earned a BS from Loyola University and an MHA from University of Minnesota.
